New England Patriots linebacker Jamie Collins is expected to play in Sunday's AFC Championship Game against the Denver Broncos, a source told Jeff Howe of the Boston Herald.

Collins is fending off a back injury he suffered in last Saturday's victory over the Kansas City Chiefs, leaving the contest in the third quarter.

The Pro Bowl linebacker was listed as questionable on the team's injury report, after being a limited participant in practice throughout the week. It appeared to be a clear act of gamesmanship, with the Patriots designating 16 players as questionable.

Collins is the Patriots' best linebacker, recording 89 tackles, 5.5. sacks, five forced fumbles, and an interception in 12 games.
