Foligno sideswiped by Malone's headshot, NHL expected to review

Marc DesRosiers / USA TODAY Sports

Another night, another ugly hit in the NHL.

Columbus Blue Jackets captain Nick Foligno was on the receiving end of a dangerous headshot from Brad Malone of the Carolina Hurricanes.

Malone escaped without penalty, but will have his hit revisited by the NHL's Department of Player Safety, Aaron Portzline of the Columbus Dispatch reports.

Foligno was down momentarily, eventually exiting the game. There was not an update of his condition, but teammate Brandon Dubinsky told reporters he's "not feeling too good right now."
