Manchester United receives cheeky Januzaj enquiry from 4th-tier German club

On hearing that Adnan Januzaj had his Borussia Dortmund loan cut short following a sorry time at the Signal Iduna Park, a semi-professional team tried its luck with an approach.

Rot Weiss Ahlen, who plays in the Regionalliga West, addressed his parent club Manchester United in its response to a post by Sky Sports News HD, saying it would like to acquire the Belgium international on loan until the summer.

The fourth-tier outfit is quite rightly proud of the players it has developed over the years, noting the progression of new Stuttgart signing Kevin Grosskreutz and Dortmund star Marco Reus from its youth academy as evidence that it could be the right move for Januzaj.

Should Manchester United incredibly accept the offer, Januzaj - once hailed as Ryan Giggs' natural successor on the left wing - has a choice: Rot Weiss Ahlen or rot in the reserves?
