Ajax manager Frank de Boer says he would listen to Swansea job offer

Ajax manager Frank de Boer has said he would consider an offer from Swansea City, or any other Premier League club, if he's allowed to do "something beautiful."

De Boer has answered many questions over the past 12 months about his future, and whether he would consider a move to England following the end of his contract with the Dutch in 2017. He was a strong candidate for the Liverpool bench before Jurgen Klopp succeeded Brendan Rodgers in October.

Now the 45-year-old, whose managerial career has been limited to the Netherlands, has been linked with Swansea's vacant position. Although the Welsh club hasn't contacted De Boer, he said he would listen to a offer.

"First you have to see what the plan is at a club and what I and the people I would take with me could add to it," said De Boer. "But what if these people paint me a pretty picture that they are in that category of clubs with which I could do something beautiful? Like clubs such as Tottenham and Liverpool.

"Those are the sort of clubs with which you would want to work. But the most important thing would be the feeling I get."

In the interim, Alan Curtis has received backing from Swansea's squad and staff as a caretaker manager. It has been almost a month since the sacking of Garry Monk, and there are still relegation concerns for the Swans, whom sit just two points out of the drop zone.

"Maybe managers are looking at our precarious position at the moment and waiting to see how the next few results go," said Curtis. "Hopefully, if we can keep getting results, one or two might come forward."
