Report: Blue Jays claim Junior Lake off waivers from Orioles

Mark J. Rebilas / USA TODAY Sports

The Toronto Blue Jays added some outfield depth Friday.

Toronto claimed Junior Lake off waivers from the Baltimore Orioles, according to multiple reports.

Lake spent the majority of the 2015 season playing at the Triple-A level for the Chicago Cubs until he was traded to the Orioles for righty Tommy Hunter. Baltimore then designated him for assignment in early December.

The 23-year-old is a career .237/.278/.377 hitter with 664 plate appearances in the majors.
