Patrick Sharp knifes through Canucks for game-winning goal

Anne-Marie Sorvin / USA TODAY Sports

Patrick Sharp decided it was time to settle this one.

With his Dallas Stars deadlocked 2-2 late in Thursday's game against the Vancouver Canucks, the veteran winger accepted an Alex Goligoski pass near center ice and proceeded to take matters into his own hands.

Sharp burst into the offensive zone and fired a wicked wrist shot through Ryan Miller while surrounded by three Canucks.

The goal, which was challenged by the Canucks based on a potential offside, was Sharp's ninth goal and 21st point in 26 games.

Dallas added an empty-net goal and held on for a 4-2 win.
