Bills place Kyle Williams on season-ending IR

The Buffalo Bills placed defensive tackle Kyle Williams on injured reserve Tuesday, ending his season.

Head coach Rex Ryan indicated Friday that IR was likely for Williams, who has been sidelined since having a teammate roll up onto his left leg in a loss to the Cincinnati Bengals on Oct. 18.

Williams is the second defensive lineman to be shut down for the season in as many days. Alex Carrington was placed on IR on Monday with a torn quad.

To bolster their defensive line, the Bills signed Lavar Edwards off the Dallas Cowboys' practice squad and T.J. Barnes off the New York Jets' practice squad. They also signed linebacker Kevin Reddick, who had a brief stint on their practice squad earlier this season.
