Rex Ryan: Tyrod Taylor 'should be able to play' Sunday vs. Chiefs

Buffalo Bills quarterback Tyrod Taylor appears to have escaped any sort of significant injury in Monday night's loss to the New England Patriots.

Taylor, who was seen favoring his throwing shoulder as the fourth quarter came to a close, "should be able to play" in Sunday's game against the Kansas City Chiefs, head coach Rex Ryan said Monday on WGR 550.

The Bills haven't disclosed Taylor's official diagnosis, but his ability to finish the game - and do so while making a number of throws downfield - can be taken as a positive sign for his chances of suiting up.

Taylor has thrown for 1,669 yards, 11 touchdowns, and four interceptions in his first action as a full-time starter, guiding the Bills to a 5-3 record over the eight games he's been under center.

Now sitting at 5-5 and on the outside looking in when it comes to the AFC Wild Card race, Taylor's availability is paramount to the Bills' chances of earning a playoff spot for the first time since 1999.
