Sergei Bobrovsky made 39 saves and top-liners Ryan Johansen and Boone Jenner chipped in a pair of points apiece as the Columbus Blue Jackets defeated the Nashville Predators 4-0 on Friday night.

The Blue Jackets played the final 40 minutes with only four defensemen after losing Cody Goloubef to a fractured jaw and Fedor Tyutin to an undisclosed ailment in the first period.

Columbus scored two goals on its first two shots of the game. Gregory Campbell converted on a slick pass by Kerby Rychel, and Johansen made a nice move before depositing his third of the season to give the Blue Jackets a 2-0 lead before the Predators even had a shot on goal.

Bobrovsky channeled his inner Ilya Bryzgalov after the game when asked about his impressive pad save on James Neal:

Jenner's second-period marker and Scott Hartnell's empty-netter late in the third put it out of reach.

Nashville outshot Columbus 39-18, but Pekka Rinne allowed three goals on 17 shots.

The Blue Jackets blocked 26 shots, including 14 in the first period.

Columbus has now won four of its last five games, while the Predators' loss ended a two-game win streak on the first night of a five-game road trip.
