Neely admits Bruins could've 'done some things differently' with Seguin

The Boston Bruins' trading of now-superstar scorer Tyler Seguin remains a transaction nothing short of a nightmare.

Unloading such an incredible talent and growing ambassador for the sport - who's steadily lifting the Dallas Stars to contender status - is a decision that becomes increasingly difficult for Bruins fans to swallow three seasons later.

And while Boston brass won't go as far as confessing similar regret, it's now willing to concede the team probably could've handled Seguin's early years more effectively.

"I think looking back, we probably could have done some things differently with Tyler," Bruins president Cam Neely said Thursday on "Felger and Mazz."

"You've got a young kid coming in, maybe we could have handled his living arrangements a little different and stuff like that, that we've talked about over the years. It's something we certainly are addressing currently, and in the future we will continue to address."

Seguin's 110 even-strength points since the trade are more than any player, save for his linemate Jamie Benn.
