Canadiens' Gallagher compares Price's dominance to LeBron James

Eric Bolte-USA TODAY Sports

With his team off to a perfect 9-0 start, reeling off a season where he took home Hart Trophy, Ted Lindsay, and Vezina Trophy honors, it's hard to find a more dominating player in the NHL than Montreal Canadiens goalie Carey Price.

But could Price be the most dominant athlete in sports right now? His teammate Brendan Gallagher thinks he should be in the discussion.

"I might be a little biased," Gallagher said, according to Steve Ewen of The Province, "but he's in that category with guys like LeBron James in basketball, Josh Donaldson in baseball, and Tom Brady or Aaron Rodgers in football."

His play certainly hasn't slowed down this season, posting a 1.29 goals-against average and a .961 save percentage, while earning a spot in the three stars in each of his first seven starts.

The 28-year-old will hope to continue his strong play as the Habs head out on a three-game road trip in Western Canada, starting against the Vancouver Canucks on Tuesday.
