Rams' Ogletree will undergo surgery Tuesday; IR decision to follow
St. Louis Rams linebacker Alec Ogletree will undergo surgery Tuesday for an ankle injury he suffered during Sunday's victory over the Arizona Cardinals.
The team will determine whether Ogletree will be placed on injured reserve after the surgery.
Ogletree suffered a broken fibula, according to ESPN's Josina Anderson.
"It's hard to find a linebacker that played as well as he did in the first four weeks. We are definitely going to miss him," Rams head coach Jeff Fisher said in his press conference Monday.
Fisher said the team would use Akeem Ayers and Mark Barron to fill Ogletree's void in the starting lineup.
The Rams are also reportedly working out veteran Jo-Lonn Dunbar, according to Jim Thomas of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.
Ogletree recorded 42 tackles and two sacks through the Rams' first four games.
