Andrew Luck was held out of Sunday's game against the Jacksonville Jaguars after being diagnosed with a subluxation of his throwing shoulder, according to Chris Hagan of Indy Sports Central.

The Indianapolis Colts star quarterback has reportedly received evaluations from at least three experts on the shoulder ailment, which can also be classified as a partial separation.

Luck's shoulder didn't sustain any sort of structural damage, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport adds.

The quarterback practiced Monday, and was seen throwing passes for the first time since he suffered a shoulder injury.

The Colts were without helmets in a "light" practice, however, with Luck only making several short throws and screen passes.

Team officials haven't updated Luck's status for Thursday night's matchup with the Houston Texans yet, but Monday's roster moves appear to indicate he has a chance of returning to the field sooner rather than later.

With the release of fellow quarterback Josh Johnson, who was signed last week to serve as the backup in Matt Hasselbeck's spot start, the Colts are back down to two signal-callers on the active roster.
