Steelers' Mitchell dismisses Ravens' Smith's 'hit list' comments

Being on Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Steve Smith Sr.'s "hit list" would send most into hiding, but Pittsburgh Steelers safety Mike Mitchell seems unfazed by the threat.

“It is something that he tries to use to fuel himself," Mitchell said Friday, via Mark Kaboly of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review. "It isn’t even something I concern myself with. I didn’t think of anything when I heard about it, and I don’t think anything about it now. I am going to continue on and play football."

After the Ravens' 23-20 victory over the Steelers on Thursday, Smith Sr. said that Mitchell would be placed on his "lifetime hit list," after the wide receiver injured his back in a hit he blamed Mitchell for.

Mitchell was not near Smith Sr. during the play in question, however, with the wide receiver being tackled by linebacker Lawrence Timmons.
