The Columbus Blue Jackets were always going to be carrying momentum into the 2015-16 season, but now they have some statistics to back up the buzz.

Nick Foligno, Ryan Johansen, and Brandon Saad combined for four goals and 11 points on Pekka Rinne in a 7-1 thrashing of the Nashville Predators, who brought a legitimate NHL lineup to Saturday's preseason finale.

Saad scored twice on his five shots and ran his point total to eight in his three preseason games.

For those of you wondering, his career high is 52 points.
