Alabama head coach Nick Saban said earlier in the week he was leaning toward starting Jake Coker against Louisiana-Monroe, and he stayed true to his word Saturday.

Coker got the nod versus the Warhawks over Cooper Bateman, who started last week's loss to Ole Miss.

Coker entered the game last week while Bateman struggled, and ended up pulling the Crimson Tide closer in the eventual 43-37 loss.

So far this season, Coker has thrown for 628 yards in three games. He also has five touchdowns and three interceptions.
