Lazio midfielder Antonio Candreva needs another two games to rest his ankle.

Candreva initially suffered the injury during the Europa League draw with Dnipro last week, and he did not feature in a 5-0 loss to Napoli on the weekend.

After completing an MRI on Monday, Lazio's team doctor confirmed that the 28-year-old Italian international will miss Wednesday's game against Genoa and Sunday's encounter with Hellas Verona.

"The goal is to make sure Candreva is ready for the Europa League game next Thursday (against Saint-Etienne)," doctor Stefano Salvatori told Lazio Style Radio. "On a positive note, Candreva can now walk on his own."

Defender Stefan de Vrij and striker Miroslav Klose, however, are expected to return after the international break in October.
