Texans' Jadeveon Clowney fully participates in Wednesday's practice

Houston Texans outside linebacker Jadeveon Clowney was a full participant in Wednesday's practice, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

Clowney underwent microfracture surgery during the offseason, and is likely to play during the team's opener against the Kansas City Chiefs. It is expected that he'll play on a limited snap count.

The former South Carolina standout was selected with the first overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft and was expected to form an explosive pass-rushing tandem alongside superstar J.J. Watt.

Clowney tore his meniscus in the Texans' opening game last season against the Washington Redskins. The 22-year-old was later placed on injured reserve.
