Happy 30th birthday, J.R. Smith! - Peak J.R. moments

Ken Blaze-USA TODAY Sports

J.R. Smith is now officially "dirty thirty," which calls for a massive celebration.

In honour of the Cleveland Cavaliers' current guard - and one of the league's most colorful characters - we recall some of the moments in Smith's career in which one could not help but say, "that's so J.R."

Riding Dirty

He knows how to arrive to a playoff game in style.

Unbothered

David Blatt's inspirational Game 6 halftime speech did not get in the way of Smith's daydreaming.

TroLOLing

Despite being shovelled off with Iman Shumpert to the Cavs in midseason by the New York Knicks, surely J.R. looks back at his time in New York fondly ... never mind.

Couldn't have said it better myself!!!@imanshumpertthe1st

Big 3 + Me

As if an interview with Cleveland's 'Big Three' could occur without J.R. Least subtle videobomb ever.

Shoelace stunt

J.R. untied Shawn Marion's shoelaces during a game and loved every minute of it - including the $50,000 fine after trying to do it again against the Detroit Pistons.

Pipe dreams

Everyone knows about J.R.'s foray into the DMs of a young lady, where he wondered, ever so eloquently, whether she was "trying to get the pipe."

He later posted a photo of pipes but we all knew what he was actually talking about.

Happy Birthday, Earl!

Keep getting chicks (or die trying).
