Seahawks' Robert Turbin battling high ankle sprain

Cary Edmondson / USA TODAY Sports

Seattle Seahawks running back Robert Turbin is dealing with a high ankle sprain, Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times reports.

Turbin's injury may help explain the Seahawks' interest in free-agent veteran Fred Jackson (though Jackson's friendship with starter Marshawn Lynch may have more to do with it).

Turbin carried the ball 74 times for 310 yards last season. He added 16 catches for 186 yards and two touchdowns.
