VIDEO: Matthew Stafford finds Golden Tate for 62-yard TD

Tim Fuller-USA TODAY Sports

Star wide receiver Calvin Johnson remained on the sidelines for Friday night's preseason game against the Jacksonville Jaguars, but the Detroit Lions' passing offense otherwise appears to be coming along quite nicely.

With the Lions trailing 14-0 early in the second quarter, Matthew Stafford hooked up with wide receiver Golden Tate for a beautiful 62-yard touchdown pass.

Tate recorded a career-best season upon joining the Lions in 2014, posting 99 receptions for 1,331 yards and four touchdowns.

While he remains the No. 2 option behind Johnson, his emergence has clearly given the Lions one of the NFL's most dangerous wide receiver tandems.
