George Coetzee vaults up leaderboard with Friday 65

George Coetzee secured the round of the 79th PGA Championship so far, and briefly held a share of the tournament lead Friday morning, scratching down an eagle, seven birdies, and two bogeys for a second-round 65.
The South African took nine shots off his first round, when he finished 2-over, and if it were a birdie, not bogey, on 18, he would have matched the major championship scoring record of 63.
He finishes one shot behind the clubhouse leader, Dustin Johnson, with his 7-under, and will have an afternoon tee time Saturday for his impressive performance.
