Bills suspend offensive line coach Aaron Kromer for 6 games

Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

The Buffalo Bills have suspended offensive line coach Aaron Kromer for the first six games of the season after his alleged involvement in a physical altercation with three minors during the offseason.

The Bills had "gathered information regarding the incident," president Russ Brandon said in a statement released by the team, and decided to proceed with the suspension even though battery charges against Kromer and his son were dropped.

The statement continued:

We worked in conjunction with the NFL on this matter and we are highly supportive of the NFL Personal Conduct Policy that holds all NFL and club employees to a higher standard. We look forward to Coach Kromer rejoining the Bills organization at Training Camp.

Kromer will begin his suspension Sept. 7 and be eligible to return after the Bills' Week 6 game against the Cincinnati Bengals on Oct. 18.

Kromer allegedly punched one of the three minors in the face after pushing him to the ground during an argument about the use of beach chairs.
