Charges against Bills coach Aaron Kromer dropped; team suspension still expected

Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

Battery charges against Buffalo Bills offensive line coach Aaron Kromer have been dropped.

A statement released by the Florida state attorney's office said that the charges were "dismissed at the request of the parents of the two minor children who were the alleged victims in the two cases."

Despite the dismissal of charges, the Bills are expected to suspend Kromer without pay at the start of the season, according to Vic Carrucci of The Buffalo News. Kromer would still work with the team during training camp, and the number of games he would sit out is yet to be determined, Carucci reports.

It was reported that the Bills were likely to part ways with Kromer, but in light of the charges being dropped that may not be the case. No decision has been made on Kromer's future at this time.

Kromer and his son were involved in an altercation with three minors over the use of beach chairs. Kromer allegedly punched one of the boys in the face after pushing him to the ground.

The charges against his son, Zachery, have also been dropped.
