Brady lawsuit transferred from Minnesota to New York court

A judge has ordered the NFLPA lawsuit filed on behalf of Tom Brady be heard in Manhattan, where the NFL filed a preemptive suit, rather than Minnesota, where the NFLPA filed.

"The court sees little reason for this action to have been commenced in Minnesota at all," U.S. District Judge Richard Kyle ruled.

It's a major development in favor of the NFL and likely increases the chances Brady's four-game suspension will be upheld.

The NFLPA historically prefers filing lawsuits in Minnesota, where Judge David Doty has ruled in favor of the players' union in the past.

The NFLPA plans to refile its lawsuit in Manhattan on Thursday, NFL Network's Albert Breer reports.
