Barnes on Ibaka: 'He's just dirty ... he hit Blake (Griffin) in the nuts twice'

Memphis Grizzlies forward Matt Barnes doesn't particularly care for Oklahoma City Thunder forward Serge Ibaka, that much is clear. What wasn't clear, however, was why Barnes despised Ibaka.

During an appearance on The Chris Vernon Show, Barnes clarified his feelings towards Ibaka:

Barnes is correct. Ibaka has twice hit Blake Griffin below the belt, as seen below.

Last week, Barnes suggested he would fight Ibaka.

"I just don't like him," Barnes said at the time, commenting that Ibaka isn't as tough as he carries himself.

Ibaka responded by suggesting that the UFC host such a fight.

Barnes's tough-nosed personality fits perfectly with the Grizzlies' patented Grit-and-Grind style of play. Barnes will likely slot in as the backup small forward, helping his team by playing scrappy defense and canning open corner treys.
