VIDEO: Mario Gotze channels kung fu training in 1-0 win over Inter Milan
Bayern Munich midfielder Mario Gotze chose an unusual new way of warming up prior to his side's friendly preseason match against Inter Milan: a little bit of kung fu fighting.
As the two teams prepared to square off in Shanghai on a preseason tour of Asia, Gotze took some time and showed off his white-belt level martial arts skills - which, to be honest, looked quite easy - and posed for cameras under the tutelage of an instructor at his side.
Evidently, that training paid off, as Gotze scored the only goal of the game, no doubt due to the intense discipline he acquired from his short martial arts career thus far. No word on whether he has begun a "shirt on, shirt off" goal scoring celebration in homage to the Karate Kid, but it's probably only a matter of time, really.
