The 2015 ESPYS celebrated the accomplishments and courage of a variety of athletes during the past year.

While Stephen Curry grabbed a couple of trophies for his stellar play in 2014-15, it was LeBron James who was tabbed for best championship performance - a curious but understandable selection after his averages of 35.8 points, 13.3 rebounds, and 8.8 assists in the NBA Finals.

James hesitantly accepted the award as a token of appreciation for his work in a losing effort. Nevertheless, The Chosen One put on a happy face and gracefully thanked ESPN and his fans.

Backstage, King James snapped a picture with two other fellow winners.

Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning won the award for best record-breaking performance with his 509th touchdown pass. The record was previously held by former Green Bay Packers great Brett Favre.

Yankee legend Derek Jeter, who retired after last season, received the Icon Award. The 14-time MLB All-Star won five World Series titles during his illustrious 20-year career.
