The Anaheim Ducks have signed center Ryan Kesler to a six-year contract extension.

The new deal will pay Kesler $41.25 million, or an average annual value of $6.875 million, Eric Stephens of the Orange County Register reports.

Kesler has one year remaining on his current deal at $5 million before the first year of his contract extension in 2016-17. He is now signed through 2021-22.

"This isn't my last contract," Kesler said Wednesday. "I want another one after this. Right now I'm sitting here saying, I won't be done."

The 30-year-old notched 20 goals and 27 assists in 81 regular-season games for the Ducks, adding 13 points in 16 playoff contests.

"They wanted me, and I wanted to stay," Kesler added. "We have a great team. This is a great organization."

Kesler was acquired by the Ducks in a draft-day trade with the Vancouver Canucks last June.

He spent parts of 10 seasons with the Canucks, who drafted him with the 23rd-overall pick in 2003.
