Sabres re-sign Mark Pysyk to 2-year contract worth reported $2.25M

The Buffalo Sabres have agreed to terms with defenseman Mark Pysyk on a two-year contract extension.
The deal is reportedly worth $2.25 million, paying Pysyk $1 million in 2015-16 and $1.25 million in 2016-17, according to CBC's Tim Wharnsby. The 23-year-old has appeared in 70 NHL games, averaging 18:34 time on ice.
Pysyk bounced between the AHL and the NHL in 2014-15 and his season came to an abrupt end when he was hospitalized after collapsing at a pickup basketball game. The new one-way deal suggests the Sabres expect the 2010 first-round pick to earn a full-time roster spot by October.
