One taste of Champions League glory, three La Liga titles, two Copa del Rey crowns, and one Club World Cup trophy aren't enough for Marcelo.

Real Madrid announced Friday that the Brazilian left-back renewed his contract and will remain at the Santiago Bernabeu for the next five seasons, which should provide him with ample time to continue collecting the silverware that a player of his quality deserves.

The contract renewal will be well-received among supporters of Real Madrid, as Marcelo is the ultimate Brazilian left-back, a defender who is never afraid to join his team's attack and is capable of generating opportunities from the left flank.

Marcelo notched two goals and seven assists through 34 La Liga appearances last season, and his quest to improve on those numbers kicked off Friday, as he took part in Real Madrid's first training session of the 2015-16 season.
