Report: Packers don't plan on releasing Andrew Quarless after arrest

The Green Bay Packers don't appear ready to part ways with tight end Andrew Quarless.

Although he was arrested Saturday for discharging a firearm in public, the Packers don't plan to release Quarless, according to Rob Demovsky of ESPN. Quarless allegedly fired two shots into the air during an altercation in Miami.

The Packers indicated on the weekend they'd withhold further comment until gathering more information.

Quarless is entering his sixth season in Green Bay, posting a career-high 323 yards receiving and three touchdowns in 2014.

Even if the 26-year-old doesn't get his walking papers, discipline from the league under its personal conduct policy is not out of the question.
