Cory Joseph: Reaches Agreement With Raptors

Joseph agreed to a four-year, $30 million contract with the Raptors, ESPN's Chris Broussard reports.

Analysis:

The Raptors selected PG Delon Wright in the first round of June's draft, and while the rookie has a shot to earn a key role in the rotation, Joseph figures to open the season as Kyle Lowry's top backup. The Raptors were badly in need of guard depth behind Lowry and DeMar DeRozan, as Greivis Vasquez was recently traded to the Milwaukee Bucks, and Lou Williams agreed to a three-year, $21 million contract with the Lakers on Sunday, Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports reports. Joseph should improve on last season's career-high average of 18.3 minutes.
