Marlins' Morse activated from DL

Steve Mitchell / USA TODAY Sports

Miami Marlins slugger Michael Morse (finger/back) was activated from the 15-day DL on Sunday, MLB.com reports.

Analysis:

Morse has been sidelined since late May with a sprained right ring finger, and briefly missed time during his rehab assignment after tweaking his back. It appears everything is now good on the health front for Morse, but he may have to settle for a timeshare at first base with Justin Bour upon his return to the Marlins. Prior to landing on the DL, Morse was hitting only .211 with two homers in 128 at-bats.
