Devan Dubnyk exercised liberty on the Fourth of July, officially signing a six-year contract extension with the Minnesota Wild.
The team did not release the details of the agreement, but it's expected to be worth $26 million total - which works out to a $4.33-million average annual salary.
Dubnyk compiled a 27-9-2 record and finished with a 1.78 goals-against average and .939 save percentage after his trade from the Arizona Coyotes on Jan. 14.
His restoration campaign, which saw him place third in Vezina Trophy voting, followed a season in which he was traded on multiple occasions, and stashed in the minor leagues.
