Valencia continues to prepare for its return to the Champions League.

The club announced on Saturday that an agreement was reached with Celta de Vigo for the signing of 19-year-old forward Santi Mina, who put pen to paper on a contract through to June 30, 2021 after undergoing a successful medical.

Mina, who notched seven goals in 20 La Liga appearances last season, is a product of the Celta Academy and is the latest youngster to commit his long-term future to Valencia.

"It's like a dream for me," Mina said. "Joining a big club like Valencia at such a young age is not easy and I know the responsibility I have. I am going to fight every day to repay the confidence placed in me by Valencia and my aim is to help my teammates and the manager, as we strive to continue to be one of the best teams in Spain."

He continued: "I am leaving a club for whom I have given everything; the Celta fans have made me very happy and I will always remember them. I know that fans at Valencia are also incredible - some of the most loyal in the world, who never stop supporting their side. I can't wait to play at Mestalla and give my all to repay them for the affection they show to all the players."

Four of Mina's seven La Liga goals last season came in Celta's 6-1 thrashing of Rayo Vallecano.
