Miguel Cabrera: (Calf) Out Until Mid-August

Cabrera has been diagnosed with a Grade 3 calf strain and is expected to be sidelined for six weeks, John Keating of FOX Sports Detroit reports.

Analysis:

The full extent of Cabrera's injury is now known, and it is hardly good news for both the Tigers and Cabrera's fantasy owners. The upcoming All-Star break will reduce the total number of games he misses, but don't expect to see him back on the field until sometime in the middle of August.
