Dan Straily: Called Up Friday

Straily has been recalled from Triple-A Fresno to start Friday's game against the Red Sox.

Analysis:

With Brett Oberholtzer demoted and both Brad Peacock (ribs) and Scott Feldman (knee) expected to miss at least a couple more weeks, Straily figures to make multiple starts, even if he doesn't pitch well Friday. His 4.06 ERA for Triple-A Fresno doesn't stand out, but he owns an 8.1 K/9 and 1.6 BB/9, and he had a solid season for the A's just two years ago.
