Dodgers designate Brandon League for assignment

Los Angeles Dodgers right-hander Brandon League (shoulder) was designated for assignment Thursday.

Analysis:

League was already on the 60-day disabled list, but had been on a rehab assignment early June and reports indicate that there was no room on in the bullpen for him. He didn't make an appearance in a Dodger uniform this season due to shoulder inflammation.
