Seattle Seahawks

Baldwin pens long post against Confederate flag. Doug Baldwin is known as a highly opinionated wide receiver for the Seahawks, but flexed his historical knowledge of the Confederate flag to argue against its current use. Baldwin, a Stanford alumnus, wrote a Facebook post replete with historical context to demand the flag be taken down.

Sherman stars in Nike ad. Richard Sherman is one of the stars of Nike's latest advertisement, titled "Find Your Fast." Sherman, along with Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. and Titans quarterback Marcus Mariota, appear to be Nike's leading pitchmen ahead of the 2015 season.

Bennett says holdout is possible. Michael Bennett is seeking a new contract despite signing a four-year deal in 2014. The Seahawks' defensive end alluded to a potential holdout Monday, a troublesome development for the 12s.

Arizona Cardinals

Bucannon hoping to revert back to safety. Deone Bucannon was nominally listed as a safety during his rookie season, but was used as a stand-up outside linebacker in nickel and dime packages primarily. Bucannon is hoping to be used as a traditional safety in his second pro campaign.

Ex-Cardinal Abraham out on bond facing battery charge. Former Arizona Cardinals outside linebacker John Abraham is out on $500 bond, after facing a battery charge stemming from a February strip club incident. Abraham's season came to a crashing halt after suffering a concussion in the Cardinals' 2014 season opener.

San Francisco 49ers

Smith, Haley strike strong relationship. Hall of Fame elect Charles Haley and 49ers outside linebacker Aldon Smith struck up a great friendship and it's easy to see why. The enigmatic Haley was considered the 1990's premier wild man, and Smith's talent has been enough to put a host of off-field incidents behind him.

Hayne speaks on difficult adjustment to football. The 49ers signed Jarryd Hayne ostensibly due to his athleticism as a rugby star. However, it hasn't been easy for the Australian and he spoke about his transition to football and life in America.

White makes strong impression during practice. San Francisco is undergoing a period of turmoil and undrafted wide receiver DeAndrew White may crack a roster that appears to be in disarray. White wasn't guaranteed a roster spot, but is making a strong impression on the coaching staff.

St. Louis Rams

Judge considering lawsuit to block Nixon from new stadium. A judge is considering a lawsuit presented by a Missouri representative to block governor Jay Nixon from getting involved in a new stadium for the Rams. For Missouri-area fans, the future of the team looks bleak with the club openly considering a move to Los Angeles County.

Mannion adjusting well to NFL. Sean Mannion was considered a developmental quarterback when the Rams selected him in the third round of the 2015 NFL Draft. However, the Oregon State product stated that he's making an easy, if not flawed, transition to the professional game.

Cook provides Foles with vote of confidence. Rams tight end Jared Cook gave quarterback Nick Foles a vote of confidence entering the 2015 season. Foles was acquired in an offseason trade and Cook was swayed by his leadership ability.
