Another jersey could soon be raised to the rafters in Hockey Town.

After former Detroit Red Wings star Sergei Fedorov was announced as part of next season's Hall of Fame class last week, the team's general manager, Ken Holland, is considering whether Fedorov's No. 91 should be retired by the franchise.

"At the appropriate time I'll weigh in, we'll talk about whether his number should go in the rafters or not," Holland told NHL.com's Paul Harris. "But certainly, being selected to go in the Hall of Fame is an incredible accomplishment. He was a great player and a great Red Wing. Certainly worth serious consideration."

Fedorov played 13 of his 18 seasons with the Red Wings, racking up 400 goals and 954 points in 908 games. He won three Stanley Cups, a Hart Trophy, a Lester Pearson Award, and two Selke Trophies with the team.

A decision to retire his number would also have to be approved by owners Mike and Marian Ilitch, and senior vice president Jimmy Devellano, but Fedorov's resume seems to hold up.

Fedorov sits fifth in franchise scoring and would join Nicklas Lidstrom, Terry Sawchuck, Ted Lindsay, Gordie Howe, Alex Delvecchio, Sid Abel, and Steve Yzerman as the only players to have their numbers retired by the Red Wings.
