Analysis:
During a draft workout in mid-June, Payne sustained a non-displaced fracture of his right ring finger. The injury didn't hinder his stock, as he was selected 14th overall by the Thunder, but he won't make his first professional appearance until preseason action in October. Once he receives clearance, he'll likely struggle to find minutes behind fellow point guards Russell Westbrook and D.J. Augustin.
