Freddie Freeman: (Wrist) Out Through All-Star Break

Freeman (wrist), who began a new treatment process three days ago, indicated Thursday that he "will not be back before the All-Star break," Kevin McAlpin of the 680 The Fan reports.

Analysis:

Freeman wasn't expected to be ready July 3 when he first eligible to return, but now the absence appears it will extend at least a couple weeks further. Without him in the lineup, the Braves have very little punch, but the club will likely continue using both Joey Terdoslavich and Kelly Johnson at the position while he recovers.
