Braves' Freeman out until after All-Star break with wrist injury

The Atlanta Braves will have to survive without their best hitter for longer than expected.
First baseman Freddie Freeman confirmed Thursday he won't return from a wrist injury prior to the All-Star break.
Freeman is eligible to come off the disabled list Friday, but won't be activated until July 17 at the earliest.
The 25-year-old hasn't suited up since June 17 due to the injury and was slashing .299/.367/.520 with 12 homers and 41 RBIs in 66 games prior to hitting the DL.
