Report: Texans release Brandon Ivory following burglary arrest

Brett Davis-US PRESSWIRE / Reuters

It didn't take the Houston Texans long to decide what to do with rookie defensive lineman Brandon Ivory.

The team released Ivory on Thursday, one day after he was arrested on burglary charges, Brian T. Smith of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Police in Tuscaloosa, Ala., responded to a call at 8 a.m. on Wednesday of a burglary in progress, according to a press release. The two victims told responding officers that the suspects - one armed with an assault rifle and the other with a knife - kicked in the back door of their house and demanded items.

Ivory's agent, Jeff Guerriero, told ESPN's Tania Ganguli that his client is not guilty and that "his name will be cleared of all charges."

Ivory signed with the Texans as an undrafted free agent out of Alabama.
