Iman Shumpert: Signs With Cavaliers
Shumpert agreed to a four-year, $40 million deal with the Cavaliers on Wednesday, Yahoo! Sports reports.
Analysis:
After joining the Cavaliers in January, Shumpert only started one of 38 regular-season contests but eventually entered the starting five in the Eastern Conference semifinals. Getting the nod 16 times across 20 games in their playoff run, he averaged 9.1 points (on 36 percent shooting), 4.9 rebounds, 1.7 three-pointers, 1.3 steals, 1.2 assists, and 0.8 blocks in 35 minutes. Expect Shumpert to fulfill a similar role is his first full season in Cleveland.
