The Carolina Hurricanes signed forward T.J. Hensick to a one-year, two-way contract worth $600,000 on Wednesday.
"T.J. is a good playmaking forward who adds depth to our organization," general manager Ron Francis said in a statement.
Hensick hasn't played in the NHL since the 2010-11 season, when he was a member of the St. Louis Blues. He had 19 goals and 60 points in 75 games with the Hamilton Bulldogs of the American Hockey League last season.
