The Kings signed Enroth to a one-year deal worth $1.25 million on Wednesday, the Los Angeles Times reports.

Analysis:

Enroth will take over as the Kings' top backup behind starter Jonathan Quick, in the wake of the team's recent trade of Martin Jones. As long as Quick remains healthy, Enroth isn't likely to see a ton of action, but it's not hard to imagine the Kings -- who failed to qualify for the 2014-15 playoffs -- turning things around this season, a scenario that would give Enroth value in daily formats as a spot starter.
