The Memphis Grizzlies and free-agent guard Mo Williams are reportedly closing in on a three-to-four-year agreement, according to Bleacher Report's Jared Zwerling.

Williams had previously been linked to a potential Cleveland Cavaliers reunion; he made his lone All-Star appearance in 2009 with the Cavs.

While often chided for his shoot-first style of play, Williams had a quietly solid season between Charlotte and Minnesota in 2014-15.

The 32-year-old averaged 14.2 points - his highest scoring average in five years - 6.2 assists, and 2.6 rebounds in 68 games. He posted a career-high assist percentage of 37.4, although his effective field goal percentage of 46.6 was certainly suspect.

Williams signed a one-year contract worth $3,965,074 with the T-Wolves last summer, before a February trade shipped him to Charlotte.

With Nick Calathes a restricted free agent and Beno Udrih's 2015-16 salary only partially guaranteed, Williams would conceivably slot in as Memphis's primary backup to point guard Mike Conley.
