The Toronto Maple Leafs have signed defenseman Matt Hunwick to a two-year deal.
Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman reports the deal's value at $2.4 million total.
The 30-year-old, a seventh-round pick in the 2004 NHL Draft, appeared in 55 games for the New York Rangers last season, recording 11 points.
He also appeared in six postseason games for New York.
